President Hopes Majlis Votes For Nominated Communications Min.

Tehran, Feb 26, IRNA – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad Tuesday expressed hope that members of the Iranian Parliament (Majlis) would vote in favor of his nominated minister of Communications and Information Technology Mohammad Hassan Nami. Addressing Majlis open session this morning to defend Nami, President Ahmadinejad said he was one of the scientists in the field of information technology and cyber space. The President hoped that Namiˈs presence in the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology would lead to making great achievements in the field of information technology and cyber space. On February 2, Mohammad Hassan Nami was appointed by the President as caretaker of the Ministry of Information and Communications Technology. He was introduced to Majlis on February 18 to get vote of confidence. According to the Majlis laws, the President is allowed to defend the introduced minister for an hour.
