President Ilham Aliyev: Azerbaijani-Turkish friendship and brotherhood will continue developing

Baku, October 28, AZERTAC President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has expressed his confidence that Azerbaijani-Turkish friendship and brotherhood will continue developing. The head of state sent letters of congratulation to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Prime Minister Binali Yildirim as their country celebrates Republic Day. “Committed to its statehood traditions and principles, brotherly Turkey is confidently moving forward on the path of independence, democracy and economic growth. Turkey’s active role and standing in ongoing processes in the world enables the country to host meetings and summits of the most influential international organizations. Turkey`s using its exceptional right as a host country to invite Azerbaijan to these forums is an example of true brotherhood,” the Azerbaijani President said in his letter to his Turkish counterpart. “I am confident that Azerbaijani-Turkish friendship and brotherhood, strategic partnership and alliance will continue developing and strengthening in accordance with the will of our peoples, who are bound together by deep historical roots and common national and spiritual values.” In his letter to Prime Minister Binali Yildirim, the head of state said: “Today Turkey is a powerful country, which owns a democratic and constitutional state building and confidently continues its economic growth. We are happy for the achievements of the brotherly Turkey, its growing prestige all over the world and in the region.” “I am sure that Azerbaijan-Turkey friendship and brotherhood will further play a crucial role in implementation of all joint initiatives and contribute to the two countries` development and welfare of our peoples,” President Ilham Aliyev said.
