PRESIDENT TO ISSUE DECREE ON WILDFIRE COUNTER-MEASURES

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ After working in Batsumber soum, Tuv Aimag, President of Mongolia Kh.Battulga held an immediate meeting on current situations of 22 wildfire breakouts around the country. The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh, Minister of Defense B.Bat-Erdene, Head of General Staff of Armed Force Lt. General D.Davaa and Head of President’s office Z.Enkhbold, discussing current situations and possible actions. The President reminded to focus on preparing for future natural disasters, strengthening emergency management sector, creating coherency between Emergency and Defense sectors, instead of only suppressing one-time wildfire. And warned to implement National Emergency Management Commission’s “ban on traveling in mountainous and forest areas” by building post offices on auto roads. Considering the current situations, the President reached a decision to prepare decree on counter-measures guidance of wildfire to the Government. B.Tugsbilig
