President meets Ambassador of Poland

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Leader of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj received last Tuesday the Ambassador of Poland to Mongolia Mr Tadeush Homitsky on occasion of the end of his term of diplomatic mission in Mongolia. Ts.Elbegdorj emphasized that the ties between the two countries achieved a progress during Mr Homotski’s five-year diplomatic mission. As a member of the EU, “Poland is our Third neighbor,” he said. After having become the full-fledged member of the Organization of Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), Mongolia started more active cooperation with the European Union, he added. The 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Poland has been marked this year, it also coincides with the 25th anniversary of the democratic changes and transition to a free society in Mongolia and the Republic of Poland, said the President. In response, the Ambassador said the bilateral political and economy relations have been boosting and then focused on the ties in educational sphere. He also said that supports a proposal on restoring the Embassy of Poland in Ulaanbaatar. The President thanked the Ambassador for his contribution to the deepening of the two countries’ relations and wished him a wellness and success.
