President meets UK Ambassador

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj Monday received Mr Christopher Charles Stuart, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Mongolia, in conjunction with his completion of the diplomatic mission here. Beginning the meeting, the UK Ambassador Mr Stuart expressed thanks to the President for an audience. The President Mr Elbegdorj said Mr Stuart contributed to enhancing the Mongolia-UK relations within his three-year term in Mongolia, and emphasized Mongolians well know the UK is very first country to establish the diplomatic relations with Mongolia among western countries. Our bilateral ties have been forwarding since the diplomatic relations established on January 23, 1963, he said. The sides touched upon issues of opportunities to collaborate in the mining, railway and stock market spheres, and noted about a successful development of the bilateral cooperation in the economic sector. The President Elbegdorj wished success and health for Mr Stuart at the end of the meeting.
