PRESIDENT RECEIVES PM OF TURKEY

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The leader of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj received the Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan April 12. The sides began the meeting by recalling the 2005 visit of Mr Erdogan by invitation of Ts.Elbegdorj, that times PM. Then, the President thanked Mr Erdogan for paying this official visit, and said it will strengthen traditional friendly relations. The leader of Mongolia also appreciated Turkey's help and support to Mongolia. Mongolia is attaching a great importance to its relations with Turkey, and has named it its Third neighbour, said the President. He is also glad that the Mongolia-Turkey intergovernmental joint committee for the trade, economics successfully ran its meeting March 27-28 in Ankara, and appreciated its decisions to cooperate in urban planning, establishing a leather processing complex, improving the tourism. Mr Elbegdorj extended greetings to the President of Turkey Mr Abdullah Gul and invited him to Mongolia. In response, Mr Erdogan said the Turkish air transportation company plans to make direct flights to Ulaanbaatar every day,"and yesterday we agreed to free the two sides from visas in their travelling to each other, and I hope that it will increase mutual visits." At present, the Mongolia-Turkey trade turnover is not impressing but it will go up because the two sides have agreed to make the level reach USD 250 million by 2015, he said.
