President Rohani To Defend His Proposed Ministers Monday

Tehran, Aug 11, IRNA – Iran President Hassan Rohani will attend the Majlis (Parliament) on Monday to defend his proposed cabinet members. The lawmakers will then have three days to examine competency of the proposed ministers. President Rohani unveiled the list of his proposed cabinet members during his swearing-in ceremony on August 4. Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei endorsed Rohani for a four-year term in office as Iran’s new president in a ceremony on Saturday (Aug 3, 2013). The president’s swearing-in ceremony was held in Majlis with participation of MPs and domestic officials as well as foreign dignitaries from over 50 countries. Rohani won the June 14 presidential election with 50.7 percent of total 36,704,156 ballots./end
