President Rohani Underlines Full Authority On Talks With G5+1

New York, Sept 28, IRNA – Iranian President Hassan Rohani underlined that he is fully authorized by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei in Tehran’s talks with the Group 5+1 (Russia, US, China, Britain, France and Germany). “The government has sufficient authority to gain substantial results in talks with the Group 5+1,” President Rohani told reporters at a press conference in New York late Friday. “The government has the necessary authority in nuclear talks and I have chosen the foreign minister for talks,” he added. The Iranian president pointed to the fact, “No matter what results the government gains, it will enjoy the support of other branches and the nation.” President Rohani stressed that the government cannot be left without backup or internal consensus in important talks like talks with the Group 5+1. “The meetings of foreign minister with G5+1’s members were held in a positive and inspiring atmosphere and we hope that these talks could soon bear tangible results,” the Iranian president added./end
