President Rouhani Confers With Minorities, MPs

Tehran, Nov 11, IRNA – President Hassan Rouhani held talks with the lawmakers representing religious minorities in Majlis here on Monday. President Rouhani also held talks with a group of representatives from Khorassan Razavi, Isfahan, Zanjan and Fars in the past few weeks. According to the Constitution, the Iranian religious minorities have the right to elect representatives of their own, while they can vote for Muslim candidates as well./end
