President Rouhani Confident Nation Will Easily Overcome Harsh Conditions

Tehran, Oct 27, IRNA – President Hassan Rouhani said on Sunday that the Iranian nation would definitely surmount the present difficult situation by unity and solidarity. The President made the remarks while addressing the open session of the Iranian Parliament (Majlis) this morning which met to discuss the credentials of his three nominees to take over the ministries of Education; Science, Research and Technology; and Sports and Youth Affairs. Referring to Iran's new round of talks with the western powers, the President said Iran has entered the talks in a particular atmosphere where it is to properly defend the nation’s rights and interest as well as its goals in a logical and rational way using the art of diplomacy. In such conditions, added the President, The Iranian negotiators need the support of both the nation and that of the members of the parliament. President Rouhani arrived in Majlis Sunday morning to defend his three nominees for the ministries of Education; Science, Research and Technology; and the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs. In a letter to the Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani on October 20, he proposed Reza Faraji Dana, Ali Asghar Fani and Reza Salehi Amiri as ministers of Science, Research and Technology, Education and Sports and Youth Affairs respectively. Fani and Salehi Amiri are presently acting as caretakers of the two ministries of Education and Sports and Youth Affairs./end
