President Rouhani: Official Tehran wouldn`t allow interference of a third country in its relationship with Baku

Tehran, September 18 (AzerTAc). Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has said his country would not allow interference of another country in its relations with Azerbaijan. “Official Tehran will not allow interference of a third country in its relationship with Baku,” said the Iranian President as he received Azerbaijani Minister of Economy and Industry, co-chair of the Joint Intergovernmental Economic Commission Shahin Mustafayev. President Rouhani hailed Azerbaijani-Iranian ties as historical and friendly, saying there were good opportunities for continuing the cooperation in the fields of economy, politics and culture. He touched upon the threat of terrorism to regional countries, the Iranian President said international terrorism was like “an infectious disease”. Minister Mustafayev said Azerbaijani-Iranian relations had expanded across the last years. The Minister said Azerbaijan wouldn`t allow the emergence of any threat to Iran from its area. Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Khalaf Khalafov, deputy chairman of the Supreme Majlis of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Azer Zeynalov, Ambassador Javanshir Akhundov were also present at the meeting.
