President Rouhani Urges Enhanced Iran-Malaysia Ties

Tehran, June 24, IRNA - Iranian President Hassan Rouhani here on Monday called for expansion of ties between Iran and Malaysia. The President made the remarks in a meeting with new Malaysian Ambassador to Tehran Raja Nour Shirvan Zeinol-Abedin during which he received his credentials. ˈThe Iranian government is determined to reinforce unity and brotherhood among Islamic nations,ˈ he said, adding that his government is trying to strengthen friendship and brotherhood among Muslims. The enemies of Islam are trying to sow discord among Muslims, he added. President Rouhani also called for reinforcement of mutual relations in all arenas. The Malaysian envoy, for his part, stressed that Iran plays a pivotal role in regional and international fora./end
