PRESIDENT TS.ELBEGDORJ RECEIVES QATAR’S DEFENSE MINISTER

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On August 25, President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj received Major General Hamad Bin Ali Al Attiyah, Minister of State for Defense Affairs of the State of Qatar, who is on an official visit to Mongolia. The President expressed his gratitude to the delegation from Qatar, and his belief that this visit may become an impetus to the defense relations of the two countries. Since the establishment of the diplomatic ties in 1998, the two countries have been developing friendly political relations, he said and underlined that the defense cooperation has been most significantly strengthening. The President wanted to highlight his satisfaction with the intensified collaboration in preparing professional servicemen through organizing regular joint military exercises. Minister Hamad Bin Ali Al Attiyah thanked our President for his time and conveyed the heartfelt greetings of the Emir of Qatar. He noted that he has been attaching importance to expanding and investing in the defense cooperation of Qatar and Mongolia. President Ts.Elbegdorj returned the greeting of the Emir with a warm response and wished success to the ongoing official visit of the Minister Hamad Bin Ali Al Attiyah to Mongolia.
