PRESIDENT WELCOMES HIS RUSSIAN COUNTERPART

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At 2.50 pm on Wednesday, the President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj officially welcomed Mr Vladimir Putin, the leader of the Russian Federation who has arrived with the working visit. The two dignitaries paid tribute to the Monument of Chingis Khaan. The anthems of the two countries were sounded and the Guard of honor was lined up. This is the third visit of Mr Putin to Mongolia, the first was paid in 2000 and the second in 2009. Some 20 cooperation contracts are expected to be signed. The Russian President will lay wreaths at the Statue of Marshal G.K.Zhukov and meet with the veterans at the dinner dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Khalkh River Battles.
