President: World Needs Basic Developments, New Fair Order

Tehran, April 10, IRNA – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said world needs basic developments and establishment of a new fair order and in this circumstances Iran and Burundi can have effective and useful cooperation. In a meeting between senior delegations of Iran and Burundi, in the presence of President Ahmadinejad and President Pierre NKurunziza here on Tuesday afternoon, Ahmadinejad told his visitor that his presence in Iran is a new chapter and a big step toward deepening friendly relations between the two countries. He said although the two countries are far from each other geographically, they are close in thought and emotion. Ahmadinejad continued that there are many grounds for expansion of mutual ties and the two countries can have wide and close cooperation in the fields of agriculture, industry, trade, education, health, treatment, culture and politics. President of Burundi, for his part, said that bilateral relations have expanded in recent years, adding that his presence here indicated consolidation of ties which can promote bilateral cooperation. NKurunziza expressed hope that during his visit, the two sides would be able to achieve good agreements to take long steps in direction of increasing level of relations./end
