PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION: COUNTING UNDERWAY, RESULTS NOT YET FINALIZED

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Results of the Presidential Election of Mongolia are yet to be finalized as counting is underway nationwide. According to a live report of the General Election Commission, Democratic Party's candidate Kh.Battulga is leading the presidential election with 511,826 votes (39 percent), while Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party's candidate S.Ganbaatar is following with 406,724 votes (31 percent) and Mongolian People's Party's candidate and current Parliament Speaker M. Enkhbold with 404,852 votes (30 percent). Due to the fact that neither party is winning the election with majority of the vote, the Chairman of General Election Commission Ch.Sodnomtseren informed that a condition for a second ballot is composing. If the election settles with neither party receiving majority of the vote, the constitution states to schedule second ballot within the next 14 days. B.Tugsbilig
