BERLIN, August 18 (Itar-Tass) - Progress on some points has been achieved at the Berlin meeting on Ukraine; the Ministers will report results to their Heads of State, German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier told journalists here on Monday. "The discussion was essential," he said."I thank the (Foreign) Ministers of Russia, Ukraine, and France for accepting the invitation". "We spoke and conversed for many hours," Steinmeier said. "We discussed matters as to how we can find ways towards putting an end to military actions, which, as I see it, must be done urgently." "Besides, humanitarian support to the civilian population was also a subject of discussion," the Minister said. "It was a difficult discussion. However, I think, we have achieved progress on some points," he said. The Ministers will now report results in their capitals,Steinmeier emphasized. "In the course of Monday and Tuesday, a decision is to be made as to form in which today's discussion can be carried on," the German Minister said.
