Protecting Iranian Citizens Abroad, A Priority: Official

Tehran, June 15, IRNA - Defending Iranian citizens in foreign countries is a priority, said Seyyed Kazem Sajjadi, the Foreign Ministry’s Director General for Iranian Expatriates’ Affairs. Sajjadi on Sunday said that currently there are 5 to 5.4 mn Iranian nationals living away from their homeland and ˈWe are determined to protect their rights with every facility at hand.ˈ Iranian citizens who are living in another country make a connection between that country and Iran, said Sajjadi who is in Moscow, adding that utilizing this valuable capability can significantly contribute to developing ties between Iran and those nations./end
