Putin Bans Screening Of Anti-Islamic US Movie In Russia

Moscow, Oct 2, IRNA – Head of Russian Muftis Council said in a meeting with visiting IRI Culture Minister that Russian President Vladimir Putin has banned screening of blasphemous US-made movie throughout Russia. Mufti Ravil Eineddin added in a meeting with the visiting Culture and Islamic Guidance Minister Seyyed Mohammad Hosseini at the office of the Russian Muftis Council here Monday night, “The Russian Muslims considered the move as a plot aimed at creating enmity between the followers of different religions and between different nations by the enemies of Islam and the Muslims.” He said that since the enemies have noticed that Islam is growing rapidly and its realm is rapidly expanding around the globe with more and more people getting attracted towards our divine faith every day, they have resorted to such nasty plots to crate discord and enmity among the world Muslims. Sheikh Ravil Eineddin reiterated, “Fortunately, today the Muslims have achieved great success in various fields and particularly Iran has had great achievements in many fields.” He emphasized, “The western world knows that the world is in the process of drastic developments and a new world order is on the brink of emerging.” Eineddin meanwhile noted, “The westerners do not want the Muslims, and particularly the Iranians to have access to the peaceful nuclear energy because they wish the Muslims to remain dependent, backward and in need of them for good.” He reiterated, “The other thing that scares them is Islamic unity throughout the world which is why they seek to sow the seeds of discord and tribalism among the followers of various Islamic schools of thought.” The Iranian culture minister, too, in the meeting expressing delight over having the chance to meet his Russian Muslim brethren, said that such meetings are great opportunities for getting acquainted with the ideas and mentality of the Muslims in Russia. Seyyed Mohammad Hosseini praised the Russian Muslims’ way of interactions, which he said is based on justice and rationalism, reiterating, “The Islamic Republic of Iran respects the followers of different faiths greatly and always emphasizes the need for proximity and unity among them.” Hosseini reiterated, “Unfortunately, some countries and particularly the western countries and the United States and their satellite countries with mercenary leaders are always trying to sow the seeds of discord among the Muslims.” The culture and Islamic guidance minister emphasized, “We should hand in hand and relying on Islamic unity and solidarity introduce the genuine and real face of Islam to the world which emphasizes on logical approach, rationalism and sound reasoning to the world nations.” He meanwhile reiterated that in the fields of Hajj, pilgrimage and endowments, the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance has conducted noticeable activities. Hosseini referred to the sponsoring of annual international Qur’an exhibitions during the fasting month of Ramadan, adding, “In these exhibitions in addition to presentation of different translations and interpretation of the Glorious Qur’an, there are artistic and software products on Qur’an.” The Iranian minister also referred to the insulting movie produced with the Zionists’ money and the US backing, while condemning the move once again, said, “We should hand in hand while introducing the real face of the Prophet (P) try to teach and propagate the Prophet Muhammad’s teachings and lifestyle.” The culture minister referred to the upcoming veneration service to be held in the honor of the former head of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought Ayatollah Mohammad-Ali Taskhiri in February, 2013, inviting the head of the Russian Muftis to attend the event. The Islamic Republic of Iran Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Seyyed Mohammad Hosseini arrived in Moscow Monday morning for a four day visit and inaugurating the Iran Culture Week here. Hosseini is scheduled to meet his Russian counterpart Vladimir Medinsky, along with whom he would participate at the opening ceremony of the Iranian Culture Week. Meeting the Iranians living in Syria, holding negotiations with the Russian officials and vesting the historical and monuments and cultural centers are in the schedule of the Iranian minister’s visit./end
