Putin, Nazarbayev to hold bilateral meeting as part of BRICS, SCO summits - Kremlin

MOSCOW, July 6. /TASS/. Presidents of Russia and Kazakhstan Vladimir Putin and Nursultan Nazarbayev will hold a bilateral meeting during the forthcoming summits of BRICS and the Shanghai Cooperation Organizaton (SCO) in Ufa. The agreement on this has been reached by the two leaders during a telephone conversation on Monday, the Kremlin’s press service said. "It was agreed to hold the next bilateral meeting during the forthcoming summits of BRICS and SCO in Ufa," the Kremlin said. Aside from that, the two leaders "discussed the topical issues of Russian-Kazakh strategic partnership, further development of Eurasian integration and a number of international issues, including the Ukrainian crisis and the results of the Greek referendum." Vladimir Putin wished Kazakhstan’s leader a happy birthday. The Russian President earlier sent a message of congratulations to his Kazakh counterpart on the occasion of Nazarbayev's 75th birthday, the Kremlin press service said. Read more
