Putin, Netanyahu discuss preparations for intergovernmental commission’s meeting due by yearend, says Lavrov

SOCHI, September 13. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu discussed preparations for the meeting of the intergovernmental commission of the two countries that is to take place by the end of this year during the talks in Sochi, Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told reporters following the meeting between the leaders of the two countries on Thursday. "Preparations for the next meeting of the intergovernmental commission by the end of this year were discussed, particularly the issues (were discussed) that are being prepared for consideration at the meeting," he said, adding that those issues are connected with easing customs procedures for transiting of goods, as well as digital economy. "Traditionally those contacts (between Putin and Netanyahu) are conciliatory, enabling (the sides) to discuss frankly any issues," Russia’s top diplomat said. The talks "focused much on bilateral cooperation, primarily in the trade and economic field," he added. Read more
