Putin notes progress in all spheres of Russian-Iranian relations at meeting with Rouhani

BAKU, August 8. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has noted progress in all spheres of Russian-Iranian relations. At the meeting with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, Putin remembered the warm reception during his visit to Tehran. "Over this time we have made a considerable progress in developing bilateral relations, our friendly relations are strengthening, and they are of multi-faceted nature. This concerns economic relations, this concerns political contacts in all directions, this also concerns he humanitarian sphere," Putin said. "We should be thankful to Azerbaijan’s President, Mr (Ilham) Aliyev, for organizing this meeting which gives us an opportunity to discuss the situation in the region in the three-party format," the Russian leader noted.
