Putin to outline his stance on Minsk accords during meeting with Lukashenko and Nazarbayev - presidential spokesman

MOSCOW, March 19. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin will outline his stance on the implementation of the Minsk agreements during his meeting with leaders of Belarus and Kazakhstan Alexander Lukashenko and Nursultan Nazarbayev in Astana on Friday, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov has told reports. "Certainly, the three leaders will exchange opinions on the present-day situation with the implementation of the Minsk accords," Peskov said. "Russia’s stance is well-known, and I’m sure that President Putin will outline it and present his arguments to his counterparts in Astana." Earlier, the Kremlin press service said that at the forthcoming meeting "the parties were to discuss the current state and prospects of trade and economic cooperation between the three countries, the Eurasian integration process with due account for modern trends in the global economy." "The three leaders are also to exchange views on some pressing international issues, above all, the situation in Ukraine. Putin’s bilateral meetings with Nazarbayev and Lukashenko are planned as well", the Kremlin press service said. Earlier, Peskov said that at the top of the agenda would be Russia’s relations with Kazakhstan and Belarus rather than the formation of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU), "The forthcoming meeting is not a EEU summit," Peskov said, noting that it would focus on relations between the three countries and regional problems rather than on the issues related to the integration processes.
