Putin says had long phone conversation with Japan’s PM

MOSCOW, June 24. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin said he held a rather long telephone conversation with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on Wednesday. "Before coming here I had a rather long conversation with Japan’s prime minister," Putin told the participants of the Russian council on science, technologies and education. Speaking on the scientific development, Putin said Japan is "one of the countries that is a good example when business is involved in the tasks before the applied science." The Kremlin press service has not yet reported on the details of the conversation. Meanwhile, Japan’s media reports citing government sources said the sides discussed in particular the development of bilateral relations and the possibility of organizing a visit of the Russian president to Japan and also some aspects of settlement in Ukraine.
