"Today, we provide military-technical assistance to Iraq, Syria and other countries of the region which are fighting terrorist groups," Putin told the United Nations General Assembly. "We regard it as a huge mistake to refuse to cooperate with the Syrian government and its armed forces who are valiantly fighting terrorism face to face," he said.
