Putin will discuss situation in Middle East, North Africa with Egyptian president on August 26 in Moscow - Kremlin

MOSCOW, August 20. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold talks with his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in Moscow on August 26, the Kremlin said. The sides "will discuss all spheres of bilateral relations, including prospects of further strengthening cooperation in trade and economic sphere," the Kremlin press service said. Putin and al-Sisi will also exchange opinions on international problems, in particular on the situation in the Middle East and North Africa. The Egyptian president already paid an official visit to Russia in August 2014. He also took part in the celebrations of 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 in Moscow in May. At the beginning of August, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev told the Al-Ahram newspaper ahead of his visit to Egypt that an agreement on constructing a nuclear power plant (NPP) in the country with participation of Russia is planned to be signed "during next bilateral meeting at the highest level." An agreement on NPP construction was reached during Russian president’s visit to Cairo in February 2015. Read more
