Qatar hopes crisis in region will be resolved without international agencies’ help - ambassador

MOSCOW, July 25. /TASS/. Qatar is ready to ask for international organizations' assistance, if the crisis with Arab countries is not resolved by diplomatic means but hopes it will not have to resort to such steps, Qatari Ambassador to Russia, Fahad bin Mohammed Al-Attiyah, told a news conference in Moscow on Tuesday. "Qatar will use all available legal regional and international means to resolve the crisis," he said. "There are the UN Security Council, the WTO, the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva and other organizations that oversee efforts to implement international agreements." "If the crisis is not resolved through diplomatic negotiations, Qatar will have to turn to international organizations. We do hope though that we won’t have to resort to that, and Kuwait’s mediation efforts will be a success," the diplomat added. Read more
