Qatari amir calls for cooperation with Turkish universities

ISTANBUL (A.A) - December 7, 2011 - Qatar's Amir Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani on Wednesday said his country was willing to cooperate with universities and scientific institutes in Turkey in innovation. "We have made investments in innovation worth of 350 million USD with several countries in the last 4-5 years. We are allocating 2.8 percent of our national income for innovation. And we want to engage in cooperation with Turkish universities and institutes," Al Thani told an innovation conference in Istanbul.         Al Thani also said Qatar and Turkey had ongoing projects and cooperation in solar energy.
