Qatari minister to visit Tehran

TEHRAN, Dec.1 (MNA) – Qatar’s Ali Hamad al-Saliti has arrived in Tehran to meet with Iran’s deputy Minister of Cooperatives, Labour and Social Welfare. Mohammad Taqi Hosseini and al-Saliti discussed bilateral ties and grounds for more effective cooperation between Islamic Republic of Iran and Qatar. Hosseini pointed to a former visit by deputy-minister of Labor in international affairs with Qatari ambassador to Tehran as indication of friendly relations, and of more potential cooperation grounds. Hosseini also pointed to cultural commonalities between Iran and Qatar; “exchange of opinions to strengthen and consolidate bilateral relations is crucial,” he added. “Mr. Abdullah Salih al-Khalifi, Qatar’s Minister of Labor will be in Tehran next week by an official invitation by Iranian counterpart Ali Rabiei,” he told Qatari ambassador. “With current possibilities between Iran and Qatar, we predict the visit would improve the level of relations between the two countries,” he added.
