Qom Theologians Protest Killing Of Pakistani Shiites

Qom, March 10, IRNA – Ulema, clerics and scholars held a gathering Saturday in this holy city in protest against massacre of oppressed Shiites in Lahore and Karachi, Pakistan. Attending the protest gathering, head of the Association of theological seminaries, called for a diplomatic solution in order to fundamentally resolve the issue of massacre of Shiites in different parts of the region. Ayatollah Hashem Hosseini Bushehri told demonstrators that the Muslims should be united to identify enemies of Islam. He further introduced the US and the Zionist regime as the main agents behind such anti-human crimes. By their measures, the enemies are trying to sow discord among various Islamic sects, said he. He then called on Pakistani officials to help prevent repetition of such crimes against the oppressed Muslims there. On March 13 blasts in Pakistan 48 people were killed and 200 others wounded./end
