Quetta Victims' Families Thank Leader For Condolence Message

Quetta, Feb 4, IRNA – Families of more than 100 martyrs of the recent terrorist attacks in the Pakistani city of Quetta thanked Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khameneiˈs condolence message. Families of Quetta martyrs in a meeting with Supreme Leaderˈs Advisor for International Affairs Ali Akbar Velayati Sunday in Quetta thanked leader’s condolence message which was conveyed to them by his advisor. Addressing the families of victims in this meeting, Velayati noted that those who martyred more than 100 Shias were enemies of Islam and no Muslim could do such crimes against its Muslim brothers. ˈMaking division among Muslims is the US, Zionistsˈ plot to weaken the regional resistance front against occupying force of Zionist regime; despite widespread conspiracies against Muslims’ unity, Pakistani Shiite community should maintain their solidarity with their Sunni brothers.ˈ On January 10, more than 100 people were killed and 200 others wounded in a twin bombing that targeted Shiite Muslims in a crowded billiards hall in the western city of Quetta. Heading a high-ranking political delegation, Velayati arrived in Pakistan on Wednesday and was welcomed by the Pakistani Foreign Ministry officials as well as Iranˈs Ambassador to Islamabad Alireza Haqiqiyan. The top foreign policy adviser to Iranian Supreme Leader reiterated Tehran’s support for Palestinians against the occupying force of the Zionist regime in the Islamic Awakening Conference in Islamabad on Thursday. In the second day of his trip to Pakistan, Velayati had meetings with Pakistani religious scholars and Punjab state officials as well as officials of Pakistan’s Jamaat-e-Islami party. “We hope that… more grounds will be provided for the unity of the Islamic Ummah as the power of the Islamic world in the future depends on unity of the Islamic Ummah,” Velayati said Wednesday after a meeting with Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan Nayyar Hussain Bukhari. Velayati aslo said that he discussed different aspects of relations between Tehran and Islamabad in his meetings with Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and Senate Chairman Bukhari.
