R C Released Hostages Attend Majlis Commission

Tehran, Oct 17, IRNA – Spokesman of Majlis (parliament) national security and foreign policy commission said Red Crescent Society (RCS) released hostages have attended the commission meeting. Seyed Hossein Naqavi Hosseini told IRNA on Tuesday afternoon that Head of RCS Abolhassan Faqieh appreciated commission's efforts on the case, especially paying visits to the hostage families. Faqieh also presented a report on the event of taking hostages in Libya and activities to release the hostages. He reminded that Iran Red Crescent Society had offered assistance and support for Libyan people during their revolution. Naqavi Hosseini quoting Faqieh said that establishing camps, treatment of injured people, providing food and medicine and support for refugees were among aids given by the RCS in Libya. The released hostages also explained on their 69 days of being hostages in Libya./end
