Rafsanjani calls for reviewing mineral exploitation policies

Tehran, Dec 11, IRNA – Head of Iran's Expediency Council on Sunday urged reviewing overall policies and regulations of exploitation of mineral resources in Iran. Addressing the 2nd Iran Mines and Mining Industries Summit held at IRIB conference hall in the Iranian capital, Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani said by reviewing the overall policies and regulations of the mineral exploitation, the ground will be prepared for Iran's further development. 'Iran is home to a collection of discovered mineral resources in the world,' Rafsanjani said. The head of the Expediency Council also said that by relying on its unique security and vast energy sources as well as its ports both in the south and north, Iran maintains great potential to further develop its mineral resources. 1378/IRNA
