Rafsanjani: Islamic Revolution Strong Enough To Absorb Criticism

Tehran, March 3, IRNA – Chairman of the Expediency Council Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani said on Sunday that the Islamic Revolution is strong enough to absorb criticism. Speaking for a group of Muslim activists who were held behind bars before the Islamic Revolution, he said the Islamic Revolution is determined to proceed with its path without hesitation. The oppositions groups inside and outside the country do their best to disappoint people which is regarded as treason to the Islamic system, he said. Recalling the surprise invasion of Iraqi Saddam Hussein at the behest of Washington in 1980, Rafsanjani said that the pious Iranian youth conquered all economic and military problems and successfully resisted to Iraqi government. He citicized the current level of unemployment and said that there are high unemployed educated people which has no justification. He called the officials to remove basic needs of the people in order to raise hope in the heart of people./end
