Rahimi Congratulates Lebanese Gov't, Nation On Southern Lebanon Liberation Anniv.

Tehran, May 26, IRNA – Iran's 1st VP Mohammad-Reza Rahimi on Saturday congratulated Lebanese caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati on the anniversary of the liberation of Southern Lebanon. Rahimi also congratulated Prime Minister designate Tammam Salam on the same occasion. In separate messages to both Lebanese officials, Rahimi congratulated their government and people on the anniversary of liberation of southern Lebanon and on the humiliating defeat and withdrawal of the Zionist regime from the Lebanese territories. Rahimi called for solidarity and unity of the Lebanese nation and government, underlining further vigilance against new plots of enemies of Islam adding that such a solidarity will help dignity of the nation. Elsewhere the message, he emphasized expansion of relations and economic cooperation between Iran and Lebanon./end
