Rahimi: Tehran Holds Comprehensive Talks With Palestinians

Tehran, Feb 13, IRNA – First Vice-President Mohammad-Reza Rahimi said here on Sunday that Iranian and Palestinian officials held comprehensive talks on Gaza situation and Palestinian resistance. Speaking to reporters after officially seeing off the Palestinian Prime Minister Esmail Hanieh at the airport, Rahimi said the Palestinian delegation had provided Iranian officials with a report on the sufferings of Palestinians as a result of Zionist regime's bullying. He said two of Hanieh's companions had been freed from Israeli prisons after about 25 years in jail. On Hanieh's meeting with Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani, Foreign Minister Ali-Akbar Salehi, and Secretary of Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili, Rahimi said, 'We prayed to God Almighty to help Palestinian resistance become victorious.' Commenting on recent remarks by the Supreme Leader, Rahimi said the remarks were explicit support for Palestinians' aspiration and stances./end
