Reception Given at DPRK Embassy in Moscow

Pyongyang, September 10 (KCNA) -- The DPRK Embassy in Moscow hosted a reception on September 7 on the 68th founding anniversary of the DPRK. Present there on invitation were Kirill Stepanov, vice-minister of Development of Far East who doubles as secretary of State of the Ministry, roving ambassadors of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the chairwoman of the Party for Peace and Unity, the editor-in-chief of newspaper Zavtra and other officials of the government, political parties, organizations and media of Russia, foreign diplomatic envoys. On hand were the DPRK ambassador to Russia and his embassy officials. The participants laid a floral basket and bouquets before the art work depicting President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il standing together. They went round photos dealing with the undying feats of Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un. Kirill Stepanov in a speech said Russia is a country which was the first to establish diplomatic relations with the DPRK, adding the relations between the two countries have successfully developed, overcoming ordeals of history. To boost friendship and cooperation with the DPRK presents itself as the most important issue in realizing Russia's foreign policy, he said, expressing the will to value the precious tradition of the bilateral relations, overcome the temporary difficulties, develop cooperation in economic, cultural and all other fields and make proactive efforts to ensure peace and security on the Korean peninsula and in the region. He wished the Korean people bigger successes in the struggle to build a socialist power and reunify the country under the wise guidance of Kim Jong Un. -0-
