Relations between Russia and China unaffected by external conditions - Chinese FM

The relations between Russia and China have a stable base of cooperation and trust and are not affected by external conditions, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Tuesday. "The relations between Russia and China are based on long-term stability," the minister said. "Our cooperation is based on mutual respect and support, it cannot change due to external conditions." "Last year, China’ Chairman Xi Jinping and Russia’s President Vladimir Putin met five times, thus giving a positive impetus to the cooperation," the foreign minister said. "Major projects of economic cooperation develop successfully, for example, beginning of construction of a gas pipeline of the so-called eastern route, we continue cooperation in the spheres of agriculture, finances, industries."
