Right to Existence Achievable Only through Struggle: Rodong Sinmun

Pyongyang, July 28 (KCNA) -- The south Korean peasants are now staging brisk actions against the conservative authorities' misrule. Rodong Sinmun Thursday observes in an article in this regard: Their massive struggle is an eruption of the pent-up resentment and grievance against the foreign forces' colonial enslavement policy to devastate agriculture and the south Korean authorities' policy to ruin agriculture. It is mainly attributable to the U.S. imperialists' colonial enslavement policy that the south Korean agriculture has gone bankrupt and the living of the peasants deteriorated. The U.S. considers south Korea as no more than a market for its surplus goods and dumping ground. The food production is decreasing in south Korea every year, but many areas of cultivated land have turned into military bases of the U.S. imperialist aggressor forces and their war drill grounds. The situation goes to clearly prove that the south Korean peasants can never get rid of their miserable plight as long as the U.S. colonial enslavement policy and the Park Geun Hye group's moves to ruin agriculture persist. The right to existence can be achieved only through a struggle. Victory is always in store for the people staging united actions for independent life and right. -0-
