Risks of attack on Iran would be ‘incalculable’, Germany says

TEHRAN,April 2 (MNA) - German Defense Minister Thomas de Maiziere has said that he had warned his Israeli counterpart Ehud Barak that the risks of an attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities would be “incalculable,” Bild reported on March 28. “Some in the Israeli government underestimate the negative consequences of such an attack,” the newspaper quoted Maiziere as saying. “As friends of Israel we have urgently advised them against this step.” On the occasion of the Islamic Republic Day, which falls on March 31, the general headquarters of the Iranian Armed Forces issued a statement warning that Iran’s response to any military attack will be “forceful” so that the enemy will “regret” its action. “In case of any practical threats by enemies, the armed forces, in line with the strategy of threat against threat (and) in proportion with the level and the kind of hostile moves, will give a forceful response” which will make the attacker “regret” its action, the general headquarters said on Thursday.
