Rodong Sinmun Accuses U.S. and S. Korean Regime of Escalating Tension on Korean Peninsula

Pyongyang, April 11 (KCNA) -- A month has passed since the U.S. and the south Korean puppet regime kicked off the large-scale joint military exercises against the DPRK but this saber-rattling is still going on, extremely ratcheting up the military confrontation and tension on the peninsula. Rodong Sinmun Monday observes in an article in this regard: These unprecedented provocations of the U.S. and the south Korean group of traitors against the DPRK are thrice-cursed criminal acts to deprive the DPRK of its sovereignty and right to live and inflict a nuclear war disaster upon the Korean nation. The U.S.-led hostile forces are now unprecedentedly escalating the moves to stifle the DPRK in all fields including politics, economy and military affairs in the wake of adopting the outrageous "resolution on sanctions" against it at the UN Security Council over its measure for bolstering nuclear deterrent for self-defence and its legitimate activities to develop space. It is quite natural for the DPRK to bolster up the nuclear deterrence for self-defense in every way to cope with ever-escalating provocations of the U.S. and the Park Geun Hye group of traitors. They are to entirely blame for the tension prevailing on the Korean peninsula and the DPRK's measures for bolstering up the capability for self-defence are just counteractions for frustrating the hostile forces' moves to ignite a nuclear war against it. -0-
