Rodong Sinmun Condemns Japanese Reactionaries for Suppressing Koreans in Japan

Pyongyang, April 29 (KCNA) -- The Japanese right-wing reactionary forces are becoming all the more pronounced in their chauvinist moves against Koreans after a big quake hit Japan. Commenting on this, Rodong Sinmun Friday terms it a wanton encroachment on the dignity and sovereignty of the DPRK and vicious abuses of the rights of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) and Koreans in Japan. It goes on: The despicable suppression of Koreans in Japan is a hysteric fit of those taken aback by the tremendous might of the DPRK winning victory after victory under the banner of Songun. The Korean nation is not the weak nation it used to be in the past which suffered from the miserable destiny of statelessness, with its sovereignty deprived by the barbarians of an island country. The moves of suppressing Koreans in Japan are fuelling the Korean people's hatred for Japan, the sworn enemy, and their merciless retaliatory will. The army of Songun Korea which has grown stronger for decades ready to give vent to the pent-up grudge of the nation will not pardon those trying to mock at the destiny and vital rights of the Koreans in the least but resolutely punish them. The Japanese authorities should be wholly responsible for the consequences to be entailed by their base and shameful suppression and persecution of Koreans in Japan. -0-
