Rodong Sinmun Discloses Danger of U.S. "Non-conventional War"

Pyongyang, August 23 (KCNA) -- According to the recent declassified documents of the CIA, the U.S. has used not only arms and equipment but also various social organizations, information and communications bases and media as means for carrying out its scenario for coup in other countries. This coup is called "non-conventional war." Rodong Sinmun in an article Tuesday says that the "war" is, in essence, not conventional and regular wars to be fought after the declaration of a war but a war without gunfire aimed to transform people's thinking and morality by use of information network such as internet and media and its operation sphere is unlimited. It is also a war in the field of ideology and morality launched by the U.S. to benumb the consciousness of the peoples of independent countries and implant into their minds corrupt reactionary idea and American-style view on value, the article notes, and goes on: The U.S. imperialists' "non-conventional war" is more dangerous than a conventional war as it is designed to shake the firm faith of the people of independent countries in their leadership, the validity of their cause and conviction in victory. The danger of the "war" lies in that it breaks the unity and cohesion of the society and fosters internal disputes and confrontation. The above-said war aimed to reduce the people of other countries to slaves of the U.S is an outrageous war in which even special operation force is involved. Confrontation with the U.S.-led imperialists is an acute ideological confrontation rather than military one.
