Rodong Sinmun Discloses Danger of U.S.-S. Korea Joint Military Drills

Pyongyang, May 2 (KCNA) -- The U.S.-south Korea joint military drills Key Resolve and Foal Eagle 16 which started early in March closed. The largest-ever joint military drills were nuclear war exercises which the enemies conducted after throwing away such disguise as "annual and defensive drills", Rodong Sinmun Monday says in a commentary. The commentary goes on: The enemies made the provoking of a nuclear war against the north an established fact and staged the drills with the purpose of an actual war. Herein lies the grave danger of the drills. The joint military drills fully prove that the U.S. and south Korean insanity for a nuclear war against the DPRK has gone beyond the limit to reach the zenith of danger and that they have rounded off full preparations and only watched for a chance to ignite a war. Their frantic war drills helped the DPRK understand clearly once again that it was just when it decided to bolster up national defence capabilities with self-defensive nuclear deterrence as its pivot. -0-
