Rodong Sinmun Discloses U.S. Real Intention of Amassing Forces in Asia-Pacific Region

Pyongyang, February 11 (KCNA) -- The U.S. is amassing its forces in the Asia-Pacific region. It is asserting that its arms build-up is aimed to cope with what it called "nuclear and missile threat" from the DPRK and "ensure peace" in the region. Commenting on this, Rodong Sinmun Thursday says that the U.S. talk about "ensuring peace" only goes to prove the impudence of the warmongers. The commentary goes on: The U.S. quite often talks about "ensuring peace" but it is the arch criminal escalating the danger of a war. The arms race and competition for developing ultra-modern weaponry are hotter in Northeast Asia than any other regions owing to the frantic arms build-up of the U.S. aimed at regional hegemony. It is none other than the U.S. that disturbs world peace and security and sparks off the arms race. Every country aspiring after world peace and security should properly see through the nature of the U.S. ill-boding arms build-up and heighten the vigilance against it. -0-
