Rodong Sinmun Flails U.S. Double-dealing Approach towards S. Korea's Ballistic Missile Test-fire

Pyongyang, April 17 (KCNA) -- Days ago, the south Korean warmongers test-fired ballistic missile Hyonmu-2 whose firing range is 800km and staged a burlesque of opening it to media. Commenting on the fact, Rodong Sinmun Monday terms it a grave military provocation driving the touch-and-go situation on the Korean peninsula to the brink of a war. What matters is the U.S. attitude toward the puppet forces' ballistic missile test-fire, the commentary says, and goes on: The U.S., which branded the righteous action of the DPRK as injustice and has made desperate efforts to realize its ambition to stifle it, is keeping mum about south Korea's development of ballistic missile. This is the height of unfair double-standards and double-dealing behavior. The U.S. should not take issue with the DPRK over its measures for self-defence any longer. It has neither qualifications nor face to talk about the DPRK's "violation of UN resolutions". The ballistic missile development by south Korea has no problem but the DPRK's bolstering up its capability for self-defence is "a provocation" and "a threat". This brigandish theory and absurd sophism can cut no ice with anyone. No matter how desperately the U.S. and its vassal forces may try to tighten sanctions and pressure upon the DPRK, we will take a series of toughest countermeasures in succession to bolster its nuclear deterrence for self-defence as long as their moves to isolate and stifle the DPRK persist. -0-
