Rodong Sinmun Flays S. Korean Puppet Forces' Multi-national Mine Warfare Drill

Pyongyang, October 26 (KCNA) -- The south Korean puppet forces together with the U.S. staged multi-national mine warfare drill in the South Sea of Korea from Oct. 15 to 22 with the involvement of forces of UK and other satellite countries which took part in the past Korean war, The provocative maneuver was staged under the simulated conditions of "securing sea lanes in contingency" with mine laying and sweeping ships, helicopters and huge forces involved. Commenting on this, Rodong Sinmun Wednesday ridicules the above-said multi-national mine warfare drill as a foolish saber-rattling and reckless provocation made by those taken aback by the tremendous military muscle of the powerful revolutionary Paektusan army. The frequent war rehearsals being staged by the Park Geun Hye group against fellow countrymen by introducing forces from different countries only go to prove the strong strategic position of the DPRK based on the ever-growing nuclear deterrence for self-defense, the commentary notes, and goes on: No matter how frequently the puppet forces stage such multi-national mine warfare drills, they will prove ineffective in the face of the revolutionary Paektusan army equipped with powerful striking means capable of resolutely meeting the challenges of the hostile aggressor forces.
