Rodong Sinmun Lays Bare Sinister Aim Sought by U.S. in Floating Story about "Nuclear Domino"

Pyongyang, September 16 (KCNA) -- The U.S. administration is busy building up world public opinion about the danger of Japan's and south Korean puppet forces' development of nuclear weapons in a bid to deter the DPRK from bolstering its nuclear force, according to reports of the U.S. and Western media. Rodong Sinmun Friday says in a commentary in this regard: As regards the legitimate countermeasures for self-defense taken by the DPRK, sovereign state, the U.S. is making profound confusing of right and wrong, claiming those measures caused a domino effect in nuclear weaponization. This is no more than an intrigue of robbers skilful in shifting the blame on to others. The U.S.-touted "nuclear domino effect" is nothing but a cynical ploy to divert to the DPRK the international criticism of the former, the largest nuclear weapons state chiefly responsible for proliferating nuclear weapons. The U.S. is the arch criminal that transferred nuclear weapons technology to other countries in breach of the spirit of the NPT and has steadily threatened and blackmailed non-nuclear weapons states in a bid to realize its ambition for hegemony. The U.S. would be well advised to stop talking about someone's development of nuclear weapons and find in its hostile policy toward the DPRK an answer to the question as to why the non-nuclear weapons state emerged a nuclear weapons state. It was the U.S. which compelled the DPRK to have access to nuclear weapons and opt for counteraction for preemptive attack. It is the final conclusion drawn by the DPRK that the nuclear stick-brandishing imperialists should be dealt with nukes only. With no intrigue can the U.S. conceal its true colors as the chieftain of nuclear proliferation. -0-
