Rodong Sinmun Urges U.S. Politicians to Make Policy Decision in Line with Trend of Times

Pyongyang, July 9 (KCNA) -- World media are vying with each other to give publicity to the DPRK's successful test-fire of medium long-range surface-to-surface strategic ballistic rocket Hwasong-10 which is of great significance in bolstering up the defense capabilities of Juche Korea. Rodong Sinmun Saturday observes in a commentary in this regard: The DPRK is capable of mounting an overall and realistic attack on the U.S. military bases in the Pacific, operational theater. The strategic structure of the DPRK-U.S. standoff has dramatically changed. This is attributable to the U.S. wrong policy towards the DPRK. Had the U.S. sought a realistic and farsighted way, paying heed to the warning of the DPRK long ago, the former would have never met such tragic fate as now and the DPRK-U.S. relations would have developed favorably. The U.S. made a serious policy mistake. When looking back on the past history of the DPRK-U.S. confrontation, there were many chances for the U.S. to turn its relations with the DPRK into normal state ties. In case the U.S. fails to make a proper choice, it will compel the DPRK to bolster up its nuclear attack capabilities both in quality and quantity and then the former will face more serious consequences.
