Rodong Sinmun on WPK's Line of Simultaneously Developing Two Fronts

Pyongyang, April 1 (KCNA) -- The plenary meeting of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) in March of 2013 set forth the line of simultaneously pushing forward the economic construction and the building of nuclear force. This is a strategic line to achieve the final victory, not a temporary countermeasure to cope with the fast-changing situation. Rodong Sinmun Friday says in an article in this regard: The DPRK's line of simultaneously developing the two fronts is crystal of the WPK's steadfast faith and will to finally conclude the confrontation with the U.S. by bolstering up the nuclear force for self-defence in every way which reflects the transparent idea of national independence and the Songun revolutionary leadership history of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and to build the best power and people's paradise on this land as early as possible. The WPK laid down the above-said strategic line at a time when the U.S. imperialists and their followers were putting the political and military pressure unprecedented in the history upon the DPRK. In the last period, some countries attempted to develop nuclear weapons, but finally yielded to the collective pressure of the U.S. imperialists and powers in collusion with them, because of lack of courage and will. Steadfast are the faith and will of the service personnel and people of the DPRK to preserve peace and stability on the peninsula and build a world of justice by dint of nuclear deterrent, the shield for peace and treasured sword for national independence, under the banner of the great line of simultaneously developing the two fronts. -0-
